'A Final tribute To Michael Wittmann'

$260.00

8th August, 1944. From their staging point amongst a copse of trees, overlooking the wheat fields towards the still burning town of Caen, Michael Wittmann confers with SS Brigade fuehrer Kurt Meyer and SS Sturmbann fuehrer Waldmuller to plan their counter attack toward Cintheaux. At this moment a lone B-17 drops coloured signal flares, a sign the area would soon be carpet bombed. On this day, shortly after noon, in these wheat fields just to the east of Cintheaux, the redoubtable Michael Wittmann would meet his fate.

Image size 700mm X 460mm

100 Giclee Artist’s Proofs.
