A formation of S-70A-9 Black Hawk helicopters from the Special Operations Aviation Task Unit conduct a Maritime Counter-Terrorism combined assault of a merchant vessel off the coast of Australia. The S-70A-9 Black Hawks are flown and maintained by members of 171 Special Operations Aviation Squadron, 6th Aviation regiment. The Black Hawk has been a critical enabler to Australia’s Special Operations capability for many years
