A tribute to the crew of RAAF Hudson, A16-201 of 32 Sqn, who dueled with 9 Japanese Zeros for over 10 minutes before being shot down. In 2024, posthumous medals for Gallantry were awarded to the four crew members, Pilot Officer Warren Frank Cowan, Pilot Officer David Reid Taylor, Sergeant Russell Bradburn Polack, and Sergeant Lauri Edwin Sheard on the recommendation of Petty Officer Saburo Sakai, Japan’s highest scoring fighter pilot, who took part in the aerial combat.

Prints come with a copy of the letter sent to the Australian Government for the recommendation of awards for the crew.
